Leverage Your Business Growth By Outsourcing

There comes a time in any business where you need to enlist some help. Whether you are an independent professional or a business with 30 employees does not matter. We all reach a level where we cannot produce or do any more without leveraging other resources.

Enter outsourcing. The beauty of outsourcing is that it is available to any business, regardless of size. You may need some research done for a report, an ebook written, a website built, marketing materials designed or ongoing administrative tasks performed. Large companies have used the concept of outsourcing for many years.

You can too. To free up your time for more high value activities you should investigate  delegating time consuming “busy work” to a resource either locally or overseas.

Check out Odesk.com, Guru.com, Elance.com or Rentacoder.com to understand the wealth of skills that are available for you to harness – often at very reasonable rates. The main caution I give is to ensure you specify exactly what you require done and to screen the applicants thoroughly before engaging any.

Start out with something small that wont take too much preparation, say a report, graphics for your marketing kit or a logo. Most of the sites I referenced have a rating system (out of 5 stars) for all the applicants on their database. This allows you to review previous projects they have completed along with the comments from the people who hired them.

Outsourcing may not be your cup of tea, – you will not know unless you try it.
